Captiva Lighting collaborated with SCB on the design of the HIDA Living/Learning Community project, for Arizona State University.
The HIDA Living Learning Community earned LEED Gold by using an integrated, sustainability-focused design that reduces energy and water consumption while supporting occupant health. Passive strategies—such as optimized orientation, self-shading, and harnessing east-west breezes—work alongside high-performance systems to cut energy use by 42% compared to the LEED baseline.
